Reader is purposefully designed as a robust, standalone offline document and media consumption tool. We understand how critical digital accessibility is—especially for students who may rely on mobile devices as their primary or sole tool for studying in the absence of a personal computer. With Reader, essential academic materials, ranging from lecture slides (PPTX) and lengthy reading assignments (PDF, DOCX) to programming code snippets and audio recordings, can be seamlessly accessed right from a smartphone. This makes the app an invaluable educational companion, bridging the digital divide and ensuring students can learn anywhere, anytime, without needing an internet connection.
We built this app so educators can confidently recommend a tool that respects student privacy while delivering desktop-class file reading capabilities on mobile devices.
Reader is fundamentally built on a local-first, privacy-by-design architecture.
Local Data Processing: All files—including PDFs, Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, source code files, images, and audio tracks—are processed entirely on your local device. We do not upload, transmit, analyze, or store your documents, personal files, or viewing habits on any external servers or cloud environments.
